Gibson Announces 2019 Sustainable Series Acoustic Guitars
New in the Gibson 2019 lineup is a set of great looking and earth-friendly acoustic guitars from the new Sustainable Series! You'll be able to grab environmentally conscious versions of the classic J-45, L-00, or Hummingbird acoustic guitars.
Each of these beauties boast tonewoods that were sustainably harvested entirely in North America, including Sitka spruce tops and walnut backs and sides. Gibson has even thrown in a walnut-wood pickguard for good cosmetic measure!
Richlite is used for the fingerboard and bridge - a commonly hated-on material, but truthfully, most struggle to differentiate it from ebony whether visually or tactilely. And it's another sustainable material to add to the list!
These acoustics use a special hand-rubbed, ultra thin beeswax finish, a naturally occurring finish that is safe for the environment, unlike certain thick poly or nitro finishes.
To top off these earthy and wood-lover inspired guitars, each model also features special wooden diamonds and arrows fingerboard inlays. LR Baggs VTC electronics are also included with each guitar.
