Ibanez joins the headless bass race with their new series of EHB basses, which include an assortment of 4, 5, and 6-string models with a variety of features and finishes. These are no one-trick pony's, which we came to discover after putting their EHB1505 5-string bass to the test. Ibanez EHB1505 Ergonomic Headless Bass Tone
The EHB1505 is jam-packed with tonal options. The single-coil Nordstrand Big Split pickups has split coils with hum cancelling that yielded virtually no noise when we plugged it in. Don't let its appearance fool you either, you'll be able to achieve those classic bass tones in your head with ease just as well as other bass options on the market. The lovely Poplar Burl top and light weight African Mahogany body offer a warmth and resonance, and the ultra-responsive Vari-mid 3-band EQ with EQ bypass switch gives you complete control over your sound!

The EHB1505 is all about comfort and accessibility. You'll find an extra carve on the back of the body behind the lower horn for full upper fret access. The overall design is pleasing to look at, but also contributes to the comfort of your playing experience, whether sitting at home or standing during long gigs. The chambered body also makes things very lightweight and well-balanced.

The physical design of the EHB1505 is a big plus. The headless construction of this bass and unique body-design make playing standing up and sitting down, virtually the same. There aren't too many basses we can think of that make playing this easy!
