NAMM 2017: Boutique Guitar Showcase Picture Gallery

NAMM 2017 Right smack in the middle of the floor of NAMM this year was a booth entitled the Boutique Guitar Showcase, which is self explanatory in that boutique guitar luthiers from around the world – Europe, Asia, America, you name it – brought their top pieces to display at the show. We had heard of some of these brands, such as Teuffel and Sauvage Guitars, but others we encountered such as Spalt, Jersey Girl, Di Donato, and AC Guitars had instruments on display that are discredited by solely calling them guitars; they are true works of art. Some of these instruments such as the Teuffel designs defy the conventions we know the electric guitar by, and others such as Jersey Girl and Spalt use the body and neck as a template for creating 1-off pieces of art.
