NAMM2017 Martin will add three new models to their popular 16 Series, which will be unveiled at the 2017 Winter NAMM Trade Show in Anaheim, CA from January 19th -22nd . The D-16E is a dreadnought sized guitar with a 000 depth, built with Sitka spruce for the top with sycamore back and sides, silver binding and heelcap, ebony bridge, and matching silver bound ebony fretboard with diamond and squares inlays. The D-16E has a modified low oval neck with a high performance taper for a very comfortable playing experience, and lastly has a Fishman Matrix VT Enhance electronics system.
The DC-16E is a dreadnought sized guitar with a 000 depth and cutaway, built with Sitka spruce for the top with sycamore back and sides, silver binding and heelcap, ebony bridge, and matching silver bound ebony fretboard with diamond and squares inlays. The top inlay is multi-stripe orange, as well as the rosette. The DC-16E has a modified low oval neck with a high performance taper for a very comfortable playing experience, and has a Fishman Matrix VT Enhance electronics system.
The third model is the OMC-16E, a cutaway Orchestra guitar which is built with Sitka spruce and cherry back and sides. This FSC® Certified model features a modified low oval neck with high performance taper, simple dovetail neck joint, silver binding and heelcap, bone nut and saddle, ebony bridge, a silver bound ebony fingerboard with diamonds and squares inlaid in mother-of-pearl. Electronics in this guitar are a Fishman VT Enhance system.
