NAMM 2020: Comins Guitars Is Bringing Affordable and Excellent Playing Jazz Guitars to The Music Zoo!
Comins Craft Series instruments are built in South Korea with a final inspection and fretwork in the USA, and offer incredible value and tone for players looking at a quality semi or hollowbody guitar!
For over 20 years, Philadelphia-area luthier Bill Comins has been producing semi and hollowbody Jazz-styled electric guitars for over 20 years, and came to NAMM 2020 to display his latest venture: Comins Guitar Craft Series. The Craft Series guitars are built by a facility in South Korea with precise attention to wood and finish-work details, and the guitars are sent to Bill in the USA for fret work, nut work and a final setup before shipping to a dealer such as The Music Zoo. These guitars looked and felt fantastic in person, and we're super excited to start to offer them for sale in 2020!
The GSC-16-1 is a single humbucker hollowbody with a laminated spruce top and laminated flame maple back and sides. The pickup is a Kent Armstrong humbucker, and of course as you might denote from the name; a 16" lower bout width (with a 2-3/4" depth). A two-humbucker pickup version of the 16" guitar is available as well with a tune-o-matic bridge!
