Strandberg Guitars Announces New USA Select Series - Custom Build a Strandberg Today
Our Strandberg April newsletter came in the mailbox today (well, digital mailbox) and we couldn't wait to share the announcement of the new USA Select Series!
Strandberg has teamed up with Desert Sun Musical Instruments in Scottsdale Arizona. DSMI will build these USA Selects, armed with a team of experienced master luthiers who have also trained for over 6 months side-by-side with Strandberg's original luthiers, to assure every exacting detail is taken into consideration, from the milling and finishing all the way to fret dressing.
On top of that, Strandberg is also debuting a new set of USA-made pickups that will be available for these guitars, designed by Michael Frank Braun (ex-Fender guru)!

Customizable options:
- Body woods: Alder, Basswood, or Swamp Ash
- Top woods: Flame Maple, Quilted Maple ($100 upcharge), Poplar Burl
- Fretboard woods: Roasted Birdseye Maple, Pau Ferro, Ebony
- Pickups: .strandberg* MFB passive (6-string only with $100 upcharge), Suhr passive, Fishman active
- Hardware: EGS 5 Pro fixed bridge or tremolo ($100 upcharge) for 6-string and 7-string, fixed bridge only for 8-string
- Hardware color: Black anodized or $100 upcharge for chrome, black nickel, red or blue
- Pickup configuration: HH, HSH, or HSS for 6-string, HH Soapbar of HH HB mount for 7-string, HH HB mount only for 7-string tremolo
- Pickup selector: blade 3-way/5-way or 3-way toggle
- Knobs placement: you can specify placement of volume and tone pots/knobs on the body surface as long as they can fit reasonably within the control cavity
- Finish: 16 different colors (including natural) in satin or gloss finish
