Zoo Review: Ace Frehley Performs at The Paramount in Huntington, NY
It was time to get lost in space last night as we hit up Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ace Frehley at The Paramount in Huntington, NY! Playing in support of his new covers record Origins Vol. 1, Ace took the stage with his signature Gibson Les Paul’s and a killer backing band that included Richie Scarlet, Chris Wyse, and Scot Coogan.
A trip down memory lane it was, as the Bronx native kicked off the night with “Rip it Out” – the anthemic, bleeding heart opener from his debut solo record, and then moved on to a block of KISS classics including “Rocket Ride” (Alive II) “Parasite” (which was re-recorded for Origins Vol 1. with John 5), and crowd favorite “Love Gun”. Ace is sounding great, and the backing band is more than just that: in other words: don’t miss this tour!
We’d like to thank Ace Frehley, The Paramount and our Meet & Greet winner Joe Kahla from Oceanside for making this a night one we won’t soon forget (probably cause we laid off the Cold Gin).
Check out our pics from the show and be sure to pick up Ace’s new record Origins Vol 1 (release date 4/15):
