About Our Standard Series Product Catalog

The Martin acoustic guitar has become the standard by which all others are judged. Introducing designs that have been the foundation of modern flat top guitar building, Martin continues to set the bar with their Standard Series instruments. From iconic models to more recent additions, all of these Martin models can be found on The Music Zoo website or at our New York location!

The Standard line Martin Guitars received a complete overhaul in 2018, after the flagship D-28 dreadnought was updated in 2017. The addition of open gear nickel tuners, antique white binding, and aging toner give a warm vintage aesthetic to these guitars. Select models received scalloped bracing and the forward shifted bracing pattern. The D-45, 000-42, D-42, and OM-42 are some of the most ornate pearl appointed Martins available in the Standard Series. The addition of a herringbone inlay to the top perimeter and the Diamonds and Squares inlay on the fretboard of select models calls back to the iconic look of guitars from the golden era of Martin guitars. Certain models are available with Fishman or LR Baggs electronics system. Sunburst and Ambertone finishes are available on select models as well! The HD12-28 is a unique 12 string guitar in the line. A Martin acoustic guitar is a must have for any guitar player, the Standard Series is the best place to start!
