1980 'Pre-Production' Butcher Block Star Item Description

Put this guitar on the list of things we'll likely never see again! This is a 1980-1981 Charvel Star with butcher block construction, which was part of the early 'pre-production' days of the soon to be legendary company. The guitar features a 21 fret rosewood board with a 43mm nut width to a bolt-on maple neck and a very cool 'key-hole' saddle brass tremolo bridge. The neck pickup looks to be an original DiMarzio humbucker, but the bridge pickup is a double-cream Seymour Duncan humbucker. With its double-cream bobbins, this is likely an older Duncan pickup before DiMarzio received the double-cream bobbin trademark. The guitar has scuffing and finish swirling throughout the body. The frets are original and have heavy wear, we would recommend a refret however this is left up to the discretion of the next owner. It's an incredibly rare piece that's sure to be a center point of any vintage Charvel collection. It includes the original case and tremolo arm.

Includes: Original Hardshell Case and Tremolo Arm
