'Killing Time' Gnarwhal Brightside Burst Item Description
This is the Dunable USA Custom Shop 'Killing Time' Gnarwhal - an extremely limited edition guitar which serves as an ode to an all-time great New York Hardcore band and its musicians, including guitarist and founding member Carl Porcaro. The guitar serves to tell a tale (if you know, you know) about Carl's 1980s 48 Street Custom guitar which he used to record tracks on the genre-defining Raw Deal demo tape in 1988 and Killing Time's 'Brightside' record in 1989. The guitar had long been lost to time, and working with Sacha Dunable and his USA Custom Shop in Los Angeles, the Brightside Burst Gnarwhal is deceptively simple yet incredibly powerful - which is the true meaning of New York Hardcore!
The guitar features an alder body with a smooth German top carve, a set-construction maple neck with black binding and block inlays, a 25.5" scale length which is excellent for down-tuning, and a single Dunable Slugwolf humbucker with a worn nickel cover. The back of the headstock features the iconic Killing Time logo. There's only one of these special guitars available at The Music Zoo!
