So clean that it still has the plastic covering on the pickguard, this is a 2024 PRS Silver Sky John Mayer 'Dead Spec' limited edition guitar, of which they only made 1000! The guitar includes the original case and paperwork.

Created in collaboration with John Mayer for his work with Dead & Co, it's a modified Silver Sky that pays homage to Jerry Garcia's iconic Alligator guitar tones with its significant spec changes!

The Dead Spec Silver Sky is finished in a thin nitrocellulose Moc Sand finish over a swamp ash body that sinks nicely into the grain of the ask. The bridge appears to be a Gen III tremolo but it has been screwed to the body to act as a resonant string-through bridge while still retaining the brass block of the tremolo to add musical warmth. At the other end of the guitar you have a brass nut and string retainer to add even more resonance! Most notably - the Dead Spec Silver Sky has an Alembic Blaster pre-amp built into a brass plate where the output jack is usually located. This preamp can be used as a straight boost but has an internal pot that allows players to add between 3 - 14 dB of gain to the guitar when turned on. This not only gives the Dead Spec Silver Sky added punch while maintaining crisp note separation, but it compensates for the capacitance that comes with long stage cables as well. The circuit is bypassed when in the off position.
