About Our Grand Pacific Product Catalog
The Grand Pacific body style was introduced by Taylor at the 2019 NAMM show and was the brain child of their head designer Andy Powers. Built around the foundation of the V Class bracing pattern, also developed by Mr. Powers, it is one of the larger sizes in the Taylor line. The Music Zoo stocks every model of Grand Pacific in our Taylor room at our New York location, all of which can be seen on our website as well!
The Grand Pacific is a round shoulder, full size dreadnought. Designed to deliver a seasoned and warm tone, the notes blend together to form the overall voice of the guitar. The guitar performs best when played with a flat pick, although handles fingerstyle and hybrid picking very well. The tonal response is very well balanced without the low end woof found on some large guitars.
The Grand Pacific is offered in the 300, 500, and 700 series. The 317 and 317e are constructed with a solid spruce top and sapele back and sides. The 517 and 517e are constructed with mahogany for the back and sides with a torrefied spruce soundboard, there is an option for natural or a Western Honey Burst finish. The 717 and 717e are constructed with rosewood back and sides matched with a torrefied spruce top, with the finish option as well. These unique instruments come in a Taylor Deluxe Case with a Western Floral pattern. The Grand Pacific is a must have for any Dreadnought player, Taylor collector, or guitarist looking for a new tone!
